Emma Elgart
Alumni Dance Educator
Miss Emma grew up dancing at Astra Studio, where she trained for nine years and served as Vice President of the Astra Studio Chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts.
After graduating, Emma attended Central Connecticut State University, where she was a member of the CCSU Dance Team and had the opportunity to attend the UDA College Nationals.
Emma spent several years as a Class Assistant at Astra, gaining experience working with younger dancers alongside Astra’s faculty. She continues her own dance training and has begun taking on a greater teaching role at the studio. During Astra’s 2026 Summer Intensives, she taught Pom classes while also continuing her own training alongside Astra dancers.
This fall, Emma returns to Astra as a substitute dance educator, bringing with her a strong understanding of the studio, its dancers, and the supportive environment in which she grew up.
