Astra Studio Wins National Grand Championship

Astra Studio of Dance & Performing Arts was featured in Harbor News following an outstanding conclusion to its 10th anniversary season at the Turn It Up Dance Challenge National Finals at Foxwoods Resort Casino.
Astra’s production, “Hocus Pocus,” was named National Grand Champion and received the Entertainment Award. The article also highlights additional national honors earned by Astra dancers, including top overall placements, special awards, scholarships, and more than $1,300 in cash prizes.
Astra Studio Dance Company Earns Top Honors at Turn It Up Regionals

The Astra Studio Dance Company of Old Saybrook earned multiple Platinum and High Platinum adjudications, overall placements, Judges Awards, and the prestigious Class Act Award at the Turn It Up Springfield Regionals.
Highlights included first overall group placements in Musical Theatre, Lyrical, and Tap divisions, along with numerous special recognitions across contemporary, jazz, hip hop, acro, and production categories.
This regional dance competition showcased the talent, discipline, and teamwork of Astra Studio’s competitive dancers representing communities across the Connecticut shoreline.
