Kelsie Roy
Performance Dance Educator

Miss Kelsie has been dancing since the age of three and developed her passion for the performing arts through both recreational and collegiate training. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Dean College in 2020, where she studied a wide range of dance styles and performance techniques while developing her artistry as both a performer and educator.

While attending Dean College, Miss Kelsie authored the book Dance Auditions: What I Wish I Knew, sharing personal insights about the audition process and the challenges dancers often face in the performing arts industry. Through her writing, she encourages performers to build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self beyond the audition room.

In addition to teaching at Astra Studio, Miss Kelsie is an active professional performer. She currently performs at Comix Roadhouse at Foxwoods Resort Casino, where she also teaches line dancing, and is represented by DFX Entertainment, an entertainment company known for producing award-winning artists and performers.

Her work both on stage and in the classroom allows her to bring current industry experience and performance insight to the dancers she teaches.
Miss Kelsie also works as a preschool teacher during the day, bringing her experience working with young children into the studio and creating a supportive and encouraging environment for dancers of all ages.

Outside the studio, Miss Kelsie enjoys traveling to take dance classes — recently studying in Los Angeles — and spending time with her cat.
