Astra Studio of Dance & Performing Arts in Old Saybrook, CT proudly presents performances, competitions, and community appearances throughout the year. From our annual recital to regional dance competitions and national performance opportunities, our dancers represent the Connecticut shoreline with professionalism, artistry, and heart.
Competition Season – March–May 2026
Astra Studio’s competitive Dance Company will attend regional dance competitions throughout the spring. Dancers will perform in lyrical, jazz, tap, contemporary, acro, hip hop, and musical theatre divisions, showcasing the technique and performance quality developed in our training programs.
Nationals will take place in July 2026.
Annual Recital – June 2026
Valley Regional High School, Deep River, CT - June 13
Our Annual Recital celebrates the achievements of dancers from our Foundation Program through our competitive Dance Company. Families and community members are invited to enjoy an exciting showcase of ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, and more.

Macy’s 100th Anniversary Thanksgiving Day Parade – November 2026

Astra Studio dancers are confirmed to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade through Spirit of America Productions. This nationally recognized performance opportunity highlights the dedication and excellence of our dancers.
Participation registration and deposits are currently underway.
Holiday Showcase – December 2026

Our Holiday Showcase brings dancers of all ages together for a festive seasonal performance celebrating the joy of dance and community.
Starlight Festival – December 2026
Town Green, Old Saybrook, CT - December 5
Astra Studio is scheduled to perform at the annual Starlight Festival, a beloved shoreline community celebration featuring local arts and performances.
Torchlight Parade – December 2026 (Pending Confirmation)
