Join Astra Studio Dance Company
Where dedicated dancers train, perform, and grow together.

The Astra Studio Dance Company is our competitive performance program for dancers who are passionate about training, performing, and working together as a team.

Company dancers represent Astra Studio at regional and national dance competitions while continuing to build strong technical foundations across multiple dance styles.

Through rehearsals, performances, and competitions, dancers develop confidence, discipline, teamwork, and artistry both on and off the stage.
Our Approach to Competitive Dance
At Astra Studio, our competitive program is built on the belief that strong technique, teamwork, and positive studio culture go hand in hand.

Under the direction of Artistic Director Brittany Wigglesworth, Company dancers receive thoughtful instruction, structured rehearsal time, and performance opportunities that encourage both technical growth and artistic expression.

Our goal is not only to prepare dancers for competition, but to help them develop confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of dance.

Astra Dance Company Teams
Astra Studio Dance Company includes several teams that allow dancers to train, perform, and compete in different styles. Dancers may participate in one or more Company groups depending on placement and interest.
Core Companies
The Core Companies are the foundation of our competitive program.

Core Company dancers perform jazz and lyrical routines and compete at regional and national competitions.
Dancers are placed in age-appropriate groups and train throughout the season to develop strong technique, performance quality, and teamwork.
Specialty Companies
In addition to Core Company, Astra offers specialty teams that focus on specific dance styles.
Tap Company - Focused on rhythm, musicality, and precision tap technique.
Hip Hop Company - High-energy routines that emphasize style, musical interpretation, and performance quality.
Acro Company - Combines dance technique with acrobatic skills such as flexibility, strength, and tumbling.
These specialty companies allow dancers to expand their training and explore additional performance styles.
Production Company
Our Production Company performs large-scale group routines that feature creative storytelling and theatrical elements.

Production Company is non-auditioned and offered by teacher recommendation, and is open to dancers ages 8 and up.
