Brittany Wigglesworth

Miss Brittany holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Western Connecticut State University and has been dancing and performing since the age of seven. As Artistic Director of Astra Studio, she is passionate about building a program that balances strong technical training with creativity, performance experience, and a positive studio culture for young dancers.
​
She has performed throughout Connecticut, New York, and internationally at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Her choreography has been recognized at regional dance competitions and theatre productions, and she received an award from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for her choreography for the musical Little Women.
​
Miss Brittany is certified to teach through Dance Masters of America and Dance Educators of America and holds certifications in Acrobatic Arts and Once Upon A Ballet. She is also a Dancend Mental Wellness Certified Dance Educator and serves as Chapter Sponsor for the National Honor Society for Dance Arts.

Outside the studio, Miss Brittany enjoys choreographing for local school musicals, designing costumes (especially when rhinestones are involved!), and spending time with her three beloved cats. She also never turns down the chance to plan her next cruise.
