Misty Chapman

Miss Misty brings years of experience working with young children and families in the community. In addition to teaching dance, she works as a nanny and preschool educator, giving her a deep understanding of how to support and encourage young learners as they begin their journey in the arts.

Miss Misty previously worked with Campbell’s Gymnastics, where she helped young students develop coordination, confidence, and a love for movement. Her background in both dance and early childhood education allows her to create classes that are structured, supportive, and fun for beginning dancers.

​

She is certified through Once Upon A Ballet’s Preschool Program, specializing in age-appropriate ballet instruction designed specifically for young dancers. At Astra Studio, Miss Misty teaches the Astra Little Stars program as well as Mini Hip Hop/Tumbling, helping young dancers build coordination, musicality, and confidence while developing a love for movement.

In 2025, Miss Misty was honored as one of the Top 3 Best Dance Instructors on the Shoreline, reflecting the positive impact she has on her students and families.

Outside the studio, Miss Misty enjoys supporting her daughter in her own dance journey and staying connected with the many families she works with throughout the community.
